Question by Fab: How do you scream like they do in Atreyu?
Okay, I love this band. They are absolutely amazing, and their last album is absolutely incredible. I think the title is pretty self-explanatory. I would like to know how to scream like they do in Atreyu. I’ve heard people say it’s harder than other types of screaming. I already know how to do the low growls, pigsqueals (high and low) and I’m working on my higher pitched screams, so please spare me the youtube videos, I already went through those. Can anyone help me achieve this amazing sound?

I scream for a band and i didn’t get any of the lessons and stuff on youtube. They always say scream with your diafram and i never got it. so i decided to teach myself, here are the steps:
1. Drink plenty of water(has to be tap water because cold water tightens your vocal cords and tap water soothes them better)
2. Take a deep breath
3. push the air to the bottom of your lungs
and extend out your stomach.
4. push the air out with all your might and make
sure when it comes out your mouth the air is
pushed out through the top of your mouth(a good
way to practice this is to put a pen in your mouth
and talk while pushing air over the top of the pen.
5. Finally practice practice practice, the first few
practices should hurt a bit but it will get better
and so will your screams
